Salary: $60k to $72k (DOE – Depending on Experience)

Responsibilities:
•Supervise and coach the daily performance (KPIs) of produce team members, ensuring compliance with United Salad’s best practices, food-safety standards, and productivity goals of 100 cases per hour with an error rate of 1.2% or less.
•Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture throughout the operation.
•Instill a sense of urgency and pace appropriate for a high-volume, perishable product environment.
•Lead by example—provide clear direction, consistent accountability, and professional enforcement of company policies.
•Audit receiving paperwork, confirm proper labeling and rotation (FIFO), and spot-check physical receiving for accuracy and grade/quality.
•Maintain steady, accurate inventory levels to reduce shorts and ensure product freshness.
•Inspect outbound produce orders for accuracy, quality, correct temperatures, and load completeness.
•Ensure proper documentation and monitoring of cooler/freezer temperatures and storage trailers, with immediate follow-up on variances.
•Conduct engaging and informative start-up meetings to align the team at the beginning of each shift.
•Maintain organized storage areas by managing floor space, adhering to produce-specific storage and ripening practices, and recommending process improvements.
•Ensure timely reporting and documentation of work-related injuries, near misses, and safety concerns.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
•2–3 years of warehouse supervisory experience, preferably in produce or perishable goods.
•Strong communication skills—ask questions, get answers, and maintain strong relationships with management and frontline employees.
•Critical thinking—able to make decisions, own the results, and continuously learn from each situation.
•Adaptability—comfortable with rapid change and able to motivate the team through shifting priorities in a time-sensitive produce environment.
•Effective time management with the ability to stay on task while maintaining awareness of team workload and productivity.
•Ability to hold team members accountable in a fair, consistent, and professional manner.
•Computer proficiency (WMS, email, reporting tools).
•Deadline-oriented with strong attention to accuracy and quality.
•Basic equipment knowledge and ability to support routine maintenance or troubleshooting.
•Skilled in analyzing data and reporting performance metrics.
•Ability to work in extreme temperatures (coolers, freezers, produce ripening rooms).
•Ability to lift between 30-50 pounds occasionally

Salary : $60,000 - $72,000
