What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Technician USA position at United Safety?
The Shop Technician is responsible for the cleanliness, care, maintenance, and distribution of equipment to support the needs of United Safety and our clients. Because our equipment is designed to keep others safe in hazardous environments, we make sure that equipment is inspected and maintained to the manufacturer’s specifications. The Shop Technician is also responsible for all equipment that is ‘shipped from’ or ‘received to’ a USL location is handled in accordance with regulations and must ensure that the load is secured appropriately.
The role of the Shop Technician is primarily to assist with the flow of material through the various shop operations. The Shop Technician must work with the Shop Team to identify, maintain and distribute upcoming material demands to ensure seamless delivery to our clients. Primary responsibilities will involve breathing air systems and breathing apparatus, support electronics, the wash bay, equipment readiness, and other related shop duties.
Requirements / Competencies:
- The Shop Technician Position requires a minimum of a high school diploma
- A minimum of 2 years oil/gas, industrial or construction environment experience
- Having an electronics or mechanical background is a plus. Must be proficient on a computer and be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
