LOW VOLTAGE TECHNICIAN
United Safety & Alarms is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot alarm systems, CCTV camera systems, access control systems, structured cabling, and related low-voltage technologies throughout South Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Install and service alarm systems
- Install and troubleshoot CCTV camera systems
- Install and service access control systems
- Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling
- Assist with fire alarm installations and inspections
- Install and configure network-connected devices
- Read and follow wiring diagrams and installation plans
- Complete service tickets and job documentation accurately
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Communicate professionally with customers and office staff
- Follow OSHA, NFPA, and company safety procedures
Requirements:
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work on ladders and lifts
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Alarm.com
- Experience with Qolsys systems
- Experience with Honeywell systems
- Experience with CCTV systems
- Experience with access control systems
- Experience pulling CAT5, CAT6, coax, and security cabling
- BASA certification preferred
- FASA certification a plus
Compensation:
$18-$24 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
