Branch Manager-Retail Banking Officer

Position Summary

The Branch Manager – Retail Banking Officer oversees daily branch operations, ensures exceptional customer service, and drives sales and profitability. This role leads a team of banking professionals, promoting a culture of performance, community involvement, collaboration, and growth.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership & Staff Development

· Lead, motivate, and develop branch staff to achieve sales goals and deliver superior customer service.

· Conduct coaching, performance evaluations, and ongoing training.

· Partner with the SVP Operations on hiring, placement, development, promotion, and termination decisions.

Customer Service & Relationship Management

· Build and maintain strong customer relationships through both inbound service and proactive outbound activities.

· Resolve customer inquiries promptly to ensure satisfaction and retention.

· Conduct quality conversations to identify customer needs and align customers with appropriate financial solutions.

· Utilize systems to document interactions, track activities, and support relationship growth.

Business Development and Community Engagement

· Develop and execute strategies to promote branch services and products.

· Identify opportunities for cross‑selling and upselling banking solutions.

· Open and service consumer and business deposit and lending accounts and additional products.

· Foster growth across lines of business through collaboration and referrals.

· Monitor branch performance metrics including growth targets, expenses, and profitability.

· Prepare and analyze reports to support decision‑making and continuous improvement.

· Represent the bank at community events and engage with local organizations to strengthen local presence.

· Participate in volunteer activities and support coordinated efforts to foster a unified community presence.

Operations & Compliance

· Ensure efficient daily branch operations in alignment with bank and regulatory policies, and established procedures.

· Perform all duties within the branch, such as teller transactions and new account opening processes.

· Support and uphold cash management, branch security, and compliance protocols.

· Maintain operational efficiency and quality standards.

· Complete all required annual or job‑specific training within stated timelines.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.

· Minimum 4 years of banking experience; supervisory or management responsibilities preferred.

· Knowledge of bank regulations, operations, products, and services.

· Proven record of achieving sales goals and driving business growth.

· Excellent leadership and people skills with a focus on team development and customer service.

· Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Licenses & Certifications

· Notary certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
