Summary
Become part of the world standard in electronics technology remanufacturing as a Two-Way Radio Electronics Technician at United Radio. This individual will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing communications equipment including Two-Way radios, dispatch consoles, trunked systems, paging and LMR networks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and other wireless communications systems down to component level at a repair bench.
Replace or repair faulty components, including circuit boards, batteries, and antennas.
Soldering of small SMT (Surface Mount Components).
Read and Interpret schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams to perform accurate diagnostic and repairs.
Perform software updates.
Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed ensuring compliance with company policies and customer requirements.
Qualifications

Education And/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). A two-year degree or training in electronic technology or equivalent experience is preferred.
Practical experience gained through internships, apprenticeships, or entry-level positions in radio technology desired.
CET certification is a plus.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of RF principles, signal propagation.
Knowledge of electronic circuits, components, and systems used in radio communications.
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing radio equipment issues.
Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Basic understanding of mathematical concepts.
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability and desire to learn new skills.
Detail Oriented.
Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Prioritize duties and responsibilities appropriately.
Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated hourly rate between $19.00 and $21.00. The actual salary will vary based on applicants experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
