Job Summary:

The Deli Associate will provide routine food preparation and customer assistance services. As a Deli Associate, you will have the opportunity to prepare and serve delicious foods such as pizza, sandwiches, and chicken according to customer specifications. You will also provide menu information and assist with food preparation as directed. Operating food production equipment and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area are essential parts of this role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares and serves foods such as pizza, sandwiches, and chicken according to customer specifications
• Provides menu information
• Assists with food preparation as directed, operating food production equipment as required
• Operates oven or fryer to prepare specific foods
• Clears, cleans, and sanitizes tables
• Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes workstations
• Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers
• Refills condiments or other supplies
• Follows all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read and follow instructions
• Good verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment
• Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures

Education and Experience:

• Some high school coursework required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the restaurant
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
• May be required to work in excessive heat and cold in association with the kitchen environment
