About the Role
As a Contents Adjuster, you’ll be an essential part of the claims process—documenting, pricing, and valuing personal property lost or damaged due to fire, water, storm, or other insured events. You’ll work directly with clients, often in emotionally charged situations, helping them recover what they’ve lost and ensuring they receive a fair and full settlement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inventories of damaged or destroyed personal property
- Research and assign accurate replacement values using industry tools
- Collaborate with field adjusters, estimators, and claim managers to support full claim documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather information and explain coverage
- Create polished, professional contents reports to submit to insurance carriers
- Stay up-to-date on industry pricing trends, software, and best practices
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Prior experience in personal property/contents claims adjusting
- Strong working knowledge of inventorying and pricing tools
- Familiarity with residential and commercial property claims
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
- Empathy and professionalism when dealing with property loss victims
