Position Summary
We are seeking a professional and dependable Field Training Officer (FTO) to assist with the training, and development of newly hired Security Officers across multiple client sites. The FTO is responsible for ensuring new officers and existing officers understand site expectations, company policies, reporting procedures, patrol responsibilities, and professionalism standards while maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, visitors, and property assets.
Key Responsibilities
·Train and mentor newly hired Security Officers on site-specific post orders and procedures
·Ensure trainees understand patrol expectations, access control procedures, and emergency response protocols
·Conduct hands-on training for report writing radio communication, customer service, and professionalism standards
·Monitor trainee performance and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective guidance when necessary
·Complete daily training documentation and evaluations accurately and on time
·Serve as a role model by maintaining professionalism, strong attendance, and proper uniform standards
·Assist Operations Management with identifying training opportunities and officer development needs
·Respond appropriately to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and tenant concerns while training assigned personnel
·Ensure all company policies, client expectations, and safety procedures are followed
·Communicate effectively with management regarding trainee progress, concerns, or recommendations
Minimum Requirements
·High school diploma or equivalent
·Valid driver’s license
·Reliable transportation
·Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
·Professional appearance and demeanor (no neck, face, or below-the-wrist tattoos)
·Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
·Ability to train, coach, and lead by example
·Previous security experience required
Preferred Qualifications
·Experience in corporate, commercial, or Class A office building security
·Previous Field Training Officer, supervisory, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
·Experience with incident reporting systems and access control software
·Strong understanding of customer service and de-escalation techniques
