Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, dependable, and self-motivated Full-Time Overnight Security Officer to provide dedicated coverage at high-profile commercial properties. This role requires strong situational awareness, comfort working independently during overnight hours, and the professionalism necessary to represent both the client and United Protective Services.
The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining a visible security presence throughout overnight operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols of assigned properties (on foot and/or by vehicle, as required)
- Maintain a visible security presence during overnight hours
- Monitor access points and observe building activity
- Identify and report security concerns, safety hazards, or maintenance issues
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, alarms, or emergencies
- Provide courteous and professional interaction with tenants, visitors, and vendors when applicable
- Accurately document patrols, incidents, and daily activity using company reporting software
- Maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance at all times
- Adhere to all company policies, post orders, and client expectations
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of professional security experience (commercial or overnight experience preferred)
- Active Level II or Level III security license (as required by state law)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must reside within 35 miles of ZIP Code 77024
- Strong communication, customer service, and observational skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Ability to work the full overnight schedule consistently
