What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mitigation Technician position at United Property Restoration Services?
Our Mitigation Technicians travel to damaged homes or businesses and support the cleanup and restoration of water and mold-damaged property. These roles serve as the first responders in property loss situations and help to mitigate the damage in both residential and commercial structures. Technicians are responsible for water damage mitigation, structural board-up and security, on-location cleaning, microbial remediation, content pack-outs, content processing/deodorization, content storage, and handling.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and a team player.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Previous experience in mitigation is preferred, but not required.
- Available for emergency services (nights, weekends, & holidays) and rotating on-call.
- Must pass a drug test and background check.
- Able to lift/move 50 lbs.
- A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation are required.
- Must display the ability to learn cleaning solutions, mixtures, cleaning techniques, and water loss procedures.
