Job Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the property is well-maintained, safe, and appealing for residents. Duties include but are not limited to:
- General lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal as needed
- Drywall patching and repair
- Interior and exterior painting
- Minor plumbing (e.g., unclogging drains, fixing leaks, replacing fixtures)
- Minor electrical (e.g., changing outlets, light fixtures, troubleshooting small issues)
- Installing and replacing appliances
- Turning vacant units (cleaning, repairs, and preparing apartments for new tenants)
- Performing preventive maintenance and routine inspections
- Responding to work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Assisting with emergency maintenance requests as needed
Qualifications
- Prior maintenance or handyman experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance installation
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for occasional after-hours calls
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
