United Producers, Inc., a leading provider of livestock marketing, credit, and related services is currently seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and proactive Entry-Level Accountant to join our Corporate Office in Columbus, Ohio.
Responsibilities include:
Supports the finance team by preparing financial statements and reports, performing daily accounting tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, journal entries, and maintaining the general ledger. You’ll assist with month-end and year-end closings, support audits and tax filings, and help track budgets and conduct ad hoc analysis. This role involves collaborating across departments to resolve issues, maintaining organized financial records, posting daily branch transactions, and contributing to the development of standard operating procedures. You’ll also ensure compliance with company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements Include:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
· Basic understanding of accounting principles, and financial reporting
· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Possesses a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational habits, and strong time management skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to meet deadlines, such as month-end close, and year-end close
