What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Services Associate position at UNITED PRESBYTERIAN HOME?
The United Presbyterian Home seeks a dependable and enthusiastic Dining Services Associates to work in our Dining Services Department. The right person for this role will have a passion for working with residents who are 55 years of age and have a hospitality mindset. Job duties may include an assortment of tasks including but not limited to:
- Food preparation
- Meal service in Independent Living or Nursing Facility dining rooms
- Washing and putting away clean dishes, cookware and dinnerware
- Cleaning of the dining services facilities
- Delivering meals to resident rooms
- Help with special events
All positions include working every other weekend and availability to work holidays on a rotating basis. Available positions in the UP Home's Dining Services department include:
- Morning Server (6:15a-2:15p)
- Mid-Day Support (10:30a-7:15p)
- Mid-Day Server (10:45 a-7:15p)
- Evening Server (3:30p-7:15p)
- PM Short Order Cook (3:30p-7:15p)
- PM Cook (10:45-7:15p)
- Friendly, outgoing individual who can work as a team!
- Self-starter with great communication skills
- Ability to learn multiple tasks and job roles
- Prior food service experience preferred, but not required.
- Understanding of or willingness to learn about modified diets in healthcare.
- Understanding of or willingness to learn sanitation and food safety standards and follow them.
- A hospitality mindset and the true desire to serve the residents of the UP Home
