What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powder Coat Painter position at United Powder Coating Inc.?
United Powder Coating, is looking for a punctual and organized individual experienced in the processing of powdercoating.
Job Summary:
The powder coater is responsible for weighing and tracking their powder usage daily, they will be expected to complete routine cleaning and maitenance of their spray booth area. The spray booth must be kept clean after completing all jobs at hand to avoid color contamination.
The powder coater will be expected to keep track of his materials curing time and informing the associates that it is complete and ready to be inspected. Any re-do's or reprocessing will need to be documented.
The shift is from 7:30 Am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday with the possibility of weekends. The painter plays a vital role in the companys processing times and turnaround times. They are expected to arrive to work on time, and depart with their work area fully cleaned and ready for the next day.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to use a powdercoating machine
- Must have at least 5 years of experience powdercoating
- Has to know how to operate an industrial oven
- You need to pass an on site test where you will powdercoat material for the supervisor
- Needs to have proficient understanding of prepping material for processing
- Has to know how different textures, colors, and materials react or are cured properly
- Must be be able to multitask and consistently keep up with powder usage logs
- You must be able to drive forklift, certification is done on site.
Pay range and Salary
Pay will be based on experience level, and quality turn over during hands on test.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
