**Hours for this shift are 10:55 pm-7 am**

SUMMARY
Responsible for setting up extruder to specifications of shop orders and producing an acceptable product by performing essential duties and responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES and REQUIREMENTS
- Disassembling, cleaning, and assembling die
- Attaching die to machine
- Setting up machine to shop order specifications including dimensions of product and packaging
- Reviewing shop orders and compare to labels and spec sheets for correctness
- Loading hopper with correct compound assuring that hopper does not run dry
- Assuring all inputs in our Manufacturing system are complete and correct.
- Collecting all necessary test samples and properly labeling for the lab
- Adjusting die, heats, and/or other processing parameters to maintain quality
- Verifying proper construction of pallets
- Stretch wrapping rolls and/or banding pallets where indicated to specification
- Sweeping and cleaning around machine and work area
- Assisting off-bearer with granulating set-up and/or off-quality material
- Perform on-the-job training to new employees
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent
- Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee is required to sit, climb, balance, carry, push, pull, reach, and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 65 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges. Read at, above, and below shoulder height. Sufficient manual dexterity required to operate equipment. Ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise and effective manner with the co-workers, company representatives, management, and staff in face-to-face, one-on-one and group settings. Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes, chemicals and/or airborne particles, high pressure fluids, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
