Daily activities include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting sales calls and site visits, preparing quotes and bids, and following up to close opportunities. Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability in B2B sales, including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing deals in an industrial or construction-related environment.
- Strong customer relationship management skills, with experience in account management, follow-up, and providing consultative support to clients.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical product information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of underground utilities, storm drain products, or construction materials, or the ability and willingness to learn quickly.
- Proficiency with common office software and CRM tools for tracking opportunities, preparing quotes, and reporting sales activity.
- Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage a sales territory, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for customer visits, site meetings, and industry events.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, construction management, or a related field is beneficial.
- Prior experience in inside or outside sales is preferred; experience in utilities, construction supply, or industrial distribution is a plus.
