Titile: Senior Electrical Project Engineer
Location: IN (100% On-Site)
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Owner's Representative for all electrical and E&I activities on a large-scale GMP pharmaceutical capital project.
- Lead and mentor junior project engineers, providing technical guidance and supporting their professional development.
- Oversee electrical scope execution, ensuring alignment with project objectives without performing detailed design work.
- Coordinate with EPCM partners, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain schedule, quality, and budget.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement timely mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with mechanical, automation, utilities, and commissioning/qualification (C&Q) teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Participate in construction meetings, field walkthroughs, schedule reviews, and progress updates.
- Support system turnover, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
- Provide clear and timely reporting to project leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 10–15 years of experience in electrical project engineering or project management within large industrial or pharmaceutical capital projects.
- Proven experience serving as an Owner's Representative on capital construction projects.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
- Strong understanding of electrical and E&I systems, including high-voltage power distribution, controls, lighting, and automation.
- Working knowledge of electrical inspection, testing, commissioning, and startup processes.
- Experience in GMP or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain prior to project start).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting greenfield pharmaceutical, biotech, or API manufacturing facility projects.
- Familiarity with EPCM project delivery models and owner's team governance.
- Experience working closely with automation, utilities, and C&Q teams during construction and commissioning.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
