Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Microbiologist to support quality control testing in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and aseptic practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine microbiological testing (bioburden, endotoxin, sterility, microbial limits)
- Conduct environmental monitoring (air, surface, personnel) in classified areas
- Analyze and document test results in compliance with GMP standards
- Support investigations for OOS/OOT results and implement CAPAs
- Maintain and calibrate microbiology lab equipment
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, regulatory requirements, and data integrity standards
- Assist in method validation, transfers, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field
- 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech QC microbiology lab
- Strong knowledge of GMP, aseptic techniques, and microbiological methods
- Experience with environmental monitoring and cleanroom operations
- Good documentation and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in sterile manufacturing or aseptic environments
- Familiarity with LIMS, EM trending, and deviation management systems
Work Environment:
- Onsite role in a regulated pharmaceutical facility
- May require gowning and working in cleanroom environments
