Keep every pallet moving — on time, in full, and at the right cost.

United Petfood is scaling its U.S. operations, and the Mishawaka plant needs a logistics leader to own the flow of raw materials and finished goods from dock to delivery. This is a hands-on role for someone who can run warehousing, inventory, and transportation today while building the systems and processes that make tomorrow more efficient.

Is This You?

A logistics or supply-chain leader who keeps raw materials and finished goods moving on time and on budget.

Experienced running warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and distribution in a fast-paced plant.

Fluent in MRP/ERP systems (SAP or similar) and energized by process improvement and automation.

A hands-on team builder who develops accurate, high-performing warehouse and logistics crews.

Detail-oriented and calm under competing priorities — food or FMCG manufacturing experience a strong plus.

The Role

The Logistics Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of all logistics functions — warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and distribution. You’ll ensure the timely, cost-effective movement of raw materials and finished goods, optimize logistics systems, and keep inventory accurate, all while leading and developing the team that makes it happen.

What You’ll Own

Operational Leadership

  • Manage all daily logistics operations — inbound and outbound shipments, warehouse organization, and distribution.
  • Lead and develop the warehouse and logistics teams to deliver performance, accuracy, and adherence to standards.
  • Own transportation planning, carrier selection, and freight-cost management for timely, cost-effective delivery.
  • Partner with procurement, production, and quality teams to align logistics with business needs.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and implement systems and procedures for efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of products.
  • Analyze supply-chain and logistics data to surface opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
  • Lead logistics automation, MRP, and ERP optimization projects to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Strengthen inventory-management practices to reduce waste, expired goods, and loss.

Inventory Control

  • Monitor all inventory transactions and run regular audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage expiring, damaged, or non-compliant inventory to minimize financial loss.
  • Keep ERP systems and physical inventory aligned through accurate documentation.

Compliance, Safety & Quality

  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and food-safety regulations, escalating deviations as needed.
  • Support BRC and quality-system integrity, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Participate in all mandatory safety, food-safety, and quality training.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of logistics, warehouse, or supply-chain management experience, ideally in food manufacturing.
  • MRP/ERP experience required (SAP or a similar system preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Exceptional organization and time management — able to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to change; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

What We Offer

A chance to build and optimize the logistics backbone of a growing U.S. plant inside a fast-moving, entrepreneurial global company.

  • Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience, plus a performance bonus.
  • Comprehensive benefits: medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
  • Retirement plan and paid time off (PTO).
  • A collaborative, values-driven team and real room to grow as our U.S. operations scale.
