Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor client's health by observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to supervisors promptly.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary.
- Support medication administration following Stat of California guidelines and care plans established by your supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control standards are met.
- Provide emotional support through active communication, companionship, and engagement in social activities to enhance residents’ quality of life.
- Assist with transportation for appointments or outings using client's personal vehicle only, ensuring safety at all times.
Experience
- Prior experience working in personal care is desired but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to observe clients closely and document changes accurately.
- Experience with Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, is desired but not required.
- CPR certification is required.
- Current California registration is desired but not required.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with team.
