Systems Engineer/Architect

About the Role:

The Systems Engineer/Architect plays a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing complex IT systems that meet organizational needs and strategic goals. This position requires a deep understanding of system architecture principles to create scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure seamless integration of new systems with existing environments. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in systems engineering or architecture, with a strong understanding of system design principles.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure, operating systems, and cloud computing platforms.
• Experience with system integration, automation, and scripting languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Professional certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Cisco CCNP.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Background in DevOps methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop comprehensive system architectures that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate systems and ensure interoperability.
• Conduct system analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to optimize system functionality and reliability.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to system design, configuration, and operational procedures.
• Evaluate new technologies and tools to recommend enhancements or replacements for existing systems.
• Lead technical reviews and provide guidance on best practices for system implementation and security.
• Support the deployment and maintenance of systems, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
