United Methodist Homes in Binghamton is looking for a full time janitor with floor care experience to join our environmental services team. This role is critical in maintaining a clean and professional environment for residents, staff and visitors in our long term care facility. Floor care with stripping/waxing experience is required.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Floor Maintenance: stripping, waxing, burnishing, buffing, and scrubbing
· Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, surfaces, and trim.
· Cleans floors and carpets in hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas.
· Pre-spot clean, extract and shampoo carpeted areas.
· Sweeps, damp-mop, scrub, waxes, and polishes floor.
· Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
· Restocks supplies as needed.
· Notifies Director of any necessary repairs.
· Fills in as needed as housekeeper or laundry aide
· Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
