Hours: Monday - Friday (Per Diem)
SUMMARY: Drives minibus, van, or lightweight truck to transport residents, or company personnel by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drives vehicle from central loading area to activities, doctor’s appointments, or other destination according to assigned schedule.
- Follow all state and federal state motor vehicle rules and regulations.
- Assists passengers into and out of vehicle. Operates van lift for wheelchair passenger.
- Secures passengers’ wheelchair to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchair during trip.
- Use cell phone to communicate with supervisor and director. Cell phone or other electronic devices are not to be used while driving.
- Keeps records of trips and reports any concerns regarding residents to the appropriate person.
- Report any vehicle repairs that may need to be done and cleans interior/exterior before drives.
- Understand and follow all HIPAA guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Clean and valid Driver’s License; required to provide a state-issued DMV driving report. DMV report is required annually.
