United Methodist Homes Hilltop Campus is seeking a dedicated and organized Full Time Cafe Coordinator to help manage the daily operations of our facility's cafe. This role is crucial for providing a welcoming and efficient dining experience for our residents, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Cafe Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Food Preparation and Service: Cooking and serving a variety of food items to customers with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Operational Oversight: Performing cook and supervisor duties such as adherence to recipes and production sheets, documenting food and refrigeration temperatures, maintaining cleanliness, and monitoring supplies.
- Menu Planning & Ordering: Planning daily and weekly menus, ordering necessary food supplies, and keeping inventory of items to sell.
- Inventory and Finance: Maintaining a clean and orderly cafe environment, reconciling cafe sales, preparing bank deposits, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Vendor Relations: Facilitating vending issues and communications with our vending service provider.
- Customer Service: Addressing any complaints or concerns from cafe patrons promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous experience in a food service, cafe, or restaurant environment is highly preferred. Supervisory experience a plus.
Skills: Strong cooking skills, excellent customer service abilities, basic math and record-keeping skills, and the ability to manage inventory and finances responsibly.
Personal Attributes: Organized, reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in a long-term care setting.
