Maintenance Assistant -Full Time (General)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

· Assist in planning, organizing, and directing the daily operations of the Campus Facilities, including maintenance, repairs, transportation, and groundskeeping.

· Oversee preventive maintenance programs for buildings, equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.

· Respond to and prioritize resident and staff work orders promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and quality of service.

· Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including Risk Management, fire safety, DOHC regulations, lockout-tagout, HMIS and MSDS.

· Prepare for and participate in surveys and inspections to ensure we are exceeding expectations in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.

· Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance, transportation and grounds staff.

· Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management when required.

· Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, capital projects, and services to ensure that we are within budget guidelines.

· Monitor contracts for cost-effectiveness and quality.

· Enforce safety and security programs, including emergency preparedness, disaster planning, and routine safety rounds.

· Assist in developing and managing the department budget, controlling costs for supplies, equipment, and services.

· Timely addresses complaints and resolves residents’ issues in accordance with organization’s guidelines and applicable laws.

· Performs other assignments as directed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

· Directly manage Maintenance Personnel.

· Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

· Participates with hiring selection and training department employees.

· Planning, assigning, and directing work to ensure efficiency, accuracy and accountability

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English
  • Write routine correspondence

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Education and/or Experience

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· People Management/Supervision

· Five (5) or more years of related experience and/or training

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· Must possess a valid Driver's license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
