We are seeking a dedicated RN Assessment Nurse specializing in wound care to join our team at United Methodist Homes Elizabeth Church Campus. This vital role involves assessing residents' needs and coordinating personalized care plans to support their health and well-being. Located in Binghamton, NY, this position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors within a supportive community. This job is a Monday- Friday position.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents' health status and wound conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Educate residents and staff on wound management and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems.
- Promote a safe and compassionate environment for all residents.
- Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of New York.
- Proven experience in assessment nursing, wound care, or geriatrics.
- Strong knowledge of patient assessment techniques and medical terminology.
- Experience with electronic health records such PCC is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and compassionate approach.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in long-term care or senior living communities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of infection control practices.

Pay: $42.00 - $46.00 per hour
