Full Time - Days
** Pay rate up to $16.60/hour; based on experience - $2,000 Sign-On Bonus!**
United Methodist Communities is currently seeking a Cook for The Shores, our Senior Care Community located in Ocean City, NJ within picturesque Cape May County.
Requirements for a Cook:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two years of cooking and and meal preparation.
- 3-4 years of related work experience. No supervisory experience required.
Responsibilities for a Cook:
- Ensures quality meal preparation including the following: consistency, presentation, flavor and temperature.
- Ensures safe food preparation including: receiving, storage, cooking, service, holding, cleaning and sanitation of tools and work space.
- Fiscal stewardship of resident spends by following recipes, preparing food quantities as instructed, batch cooking and using proper cooking methods and techniques.
- Integral part of the production team supporting all dining programs (catering, events, retail, etc.).
