Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate childcare provider to join our faith community. The position in on Sunday Mornings from 8:15am - 12:15pm. This role is essential in providing a nurturing and safe environment for children, focusing on their physical, emotional, and developmental needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and will play a crucial role in their early childhood experiences.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children in daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with the development of age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and growth.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diaper changes, and comforting as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with children through play, communication, and support.
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment, ensuring all toys and equipment are safe and sanitized.
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Implement first aid procedures when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of all children in care.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or skills in the following areas:
- Nannying or caregiving experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of toddler care practices.
- Familiarity with early childhood education principles.
- Experience in childcare settings such as daycare or babysitting.
- Understanding of childhood development milestones.
- Certification in CPR and first aid.
