Respiratory Therapist (RT) – United Medical Staffing
Location: Lafayette area
Pay: $50.00/hr
Job Summary:
United Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will assess, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders and cardiopulmonary conditions. This role involves working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality respiratory care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory conditions through tests and examinations.
- Develop and implement respiratory care plans based on physician recommendations.
- Administer treatments such as oxygen therapy, inhaled medications, and chest physiotherapy.
- Operate and maintain ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and other respiratory equipment.
- Monitor patients' responses to treatments and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and families on managing respiratory conditions and using medical equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
