Overview:
Hello, we are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers / Registered Homecare Aides to provide compassionate care, support, and assistance to individuals in various home care settings. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being for clients with diverse needs, including those requiring memory care, hospice support, or assistance with daily activities. Our caregivers play a crucial part in enhancing quality of life through attentive, respectful, and professional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Personal Care Assistance:
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene
- Support toileting and incontinence care as needed
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation
Companionship & Supervision:
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Monitor client safety and well-being
- Engage clients in meaningful activities
Household Support
- Light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying living areas)
- Meal planning and preparation
- Grocery shopping and errands
Health & Safety Monitoring
- Observe and report changes in physical or mental condition
- Remind clients to take medications (no administering unless authorized)
- Follow care plans and safety protocols
Documentation & Communication
- Complete daily care notes accurately and timely
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and care team
- Report incidents, concerns, or changes immediately
- We use a Software system for Clocking In/Out & Providing Care Notes
Qualifications
- Previous caregiving experience preferred
- Ability to pass background check and meet state requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable)
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or required per assignment)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Skills & Abilities
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job (lifting, standing, etc.)
Work Environment
- Client homes and community settings
- May require evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on client needs
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
Professional Expectations
- Maintain client confidentiality (HIPAA compliant)
- Arrive on time and maintain consistent attendance
- Represent UMRI / UHR with professionalism and integrity
- Follow all company policies and procedures
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
