Position Summary
The CT Technologist specializes in operating CT equipment, which produces cross- sectional images of patients’ bones, organs, and tissues that are used for diagnosing medical conditions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Explain procedures to patients, ensure they are correctly positioned, and provide them with protection against necessary exposure to radiation.
- Set up and adjust CT scan equipment based on the specific examination, patient size, and necessary imaging parameters.
- Review and evaluate the images produced to ensure high quality and that they contain proper identification and labeling.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff by adhering to safety standards and protocols.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of equipment and work area.
- Maintain patient records and communicate findings or results to physicians and other medical professionals.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or related field. (Required)
- Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist ARRT (Required)
- Valid California Radiologic Technologist licensure CRT (Required)
- Prior experience in CT imaging or radiology (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of CT technology and equipment
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
