Description
Under the direction of the Laboratory/Radiology Director and Radiology Supervisor performs radiographic procedures to assists in the diagnosis of disease and injury. Ensures patient needs in accordance with instructions and directions of staff physicians. Responsible for ensuring that the required statistical reports and documentation are accurately developed, tabulated and submitted in a timely basis. Responsible for demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, including demonstrating knowledge of the principals of growth and development of the life span. Must be able to identify and categorize each patient’s age specific grouping of needs, such as those for infant, adolescent and geriatric patients. Responsible for compliance with other requirements affecting the Medical Center, such as State/Federal regulations TJC, HRSA, DSHS standards and Compliance Standards. Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology required. Registered Radiologic Technologist required(ARRT). Must be registered with the Texas Department of Health
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: At least a year of experience in radiology preferred. Knowledge to perform and implement radiology policies and procedures. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Ability to communicate proficiently with individuals of diverse background and economic levels.
