Property Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Property Manager to oversee the operations of our residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of property management practices, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires effective communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and meet the needs of tenants.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new tenants while maintaining high occupancy rates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, addressing their concerns promptly and professionally.
• Oversee lease agreements, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
• Coordinate property maintenance and repairs using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Manage vendor contracts, ensuring quality service delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
• Utilize property management software such as Yardi for tracking leases, tenant communications, and financial reporting.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
• Handle tenant move-ins and move-outs efficiently, including the processing of security deposits as per legal requirements.
• Stay informed about local market trends and changes in housing laws that may impact property management operations.

Experience

• Proven experience in property management or a related field is essential.
• Strong sales skills with a track record of successful tenant acquisition.
• Familiarity with customer relationship management practices to enhance tenant satisfaction.
• Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs is a plus.
• Proficient in administrative tasks related to property management, including documentation and reporting.
• Understanding of contract law as it pertains to leasing agreements is beneficial.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.
• Experience using Yardi or similar property management software is preferred.
