What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Maintenance Technician position at United Management Services of Columbia, LLC?
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment.
- Utilize logic controllers to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests and addressing any concerns.
- Assist with electrical repairs and installations as needed.
-Complete service requests within 24 hours.
-Assist On-Site Manager with generating work schedule
-Notify the On-Site Manager of any problems and make recommendations on how to correct them.
-Able to make recommendations for contracted services.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices, including HVAC, plumbing, and general building repairs.
- Basic electrical knowledge for troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
