United Language Group is seeking fluent bilingual speakers as Independent Contractors for on-demand over-the-phone interpretations for Chuukese
The Interpreter must have a strong command of English and Chuukese languages. They must follow the professional Code of Ethics as outlined by IMIA and NCIHC.

Inspection of AAP
United Language Group is a Federal government contractor or subcontractor. Essential Duties Responsibilities:
- Interpret between English and Chuukese languages.
- Maintain the appropriate tone of voice, register and observe cultural nuances
- Maintain professionalism through attitude, and interpreting service
- Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Must have a reliable phone line and an adequate work environment to process the calls.

Qualifications:
- Proficient in English and Chuukese languages
- Strong knowledge of professional Code of Ethics and privacy laws (HIPAA)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate when dealing with difficult people and crisis situations
- Flexible availability
Preferred Qualifications:
- NBCMI or CCHI certification is preferred
- Completion of a healthcare interpretation program or at least 2 years of consistent medical interpretation experience
- Minimum (6) six months experience of over-the-phone interpretation
