The United Jewish Federation of Tidewater is hiring a Next Gen Engagement Coordinator to help shape the future of Jewish young adult life (ages 22–40) in our community. This role can be structured as one full-time position or two part-time roles, depending on candidate availability.
What You’ll Do
✨ Build authentic relationships with Jewish young adults
✨ Plan and lead programs—social events, Shabbat dinners, holiday gatherings, volunteer projects, leadership workshops
✨ Serve as a connector, helping young adults engage in Jewish life
✨ Collaborate with synagogues, Hillels, and community partners
✨ Support young adult leadership and philanthropic engagement
✨ Manage event logistics, budgets, communications, and outreach
✨ Help strengthen our digital presence through newsletters and social media
Who You Are
✔ A natural relationship-builder—warm, outgoing, and community-oriented
✔ Experienced in engagement, program development, Jewish communal work, or related fields
✔ Organized, creative, and excited to plan meaningful experiences
✔ Comfortable with a flexible schedule (some evenings/weekends)
✔ Familiar with Jewish traditions and young adult culture
✔ Tech-savvy with social media and basic marketing tools
