Overview
We are seeking qualified Adjunct Instructors to teach during the Spring 2026 semester. We currently have two open semester-based teaching positions:
- Photography Instructor
- Journalism Instructor
These roles are ideal for professionals with a strong academic background and industry experience in communications, visual media, photography, or journalism who are interested in teaching at the college level.
The ideal candidate is an engaging educator with strong academic preparation and professional experience in the communications field, capable of adapting course delivery to diverse learning environments.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate-level courses
- Prepare and deliver lectures, demonstrations, and critiques
- Develop course materials aligned with program learning outcomes
- Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback
- Support students' creative and academic development
- Maintain familiarity with current tools, techniques, and industry trends
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Communications, Visual Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a closely related field (required)
- Professional experience in photography, journalism, or a related communications field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Compensation
This is a semester-based adjunct faculty appointment.
Total compensation is based on assigned course load and the length of the academic semester.
