What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAD/CNC Production Technician position at United Innovations?
Valley Etching, Engraving, and Design (a United Innovations company) is seeking a CAD/CNC Production Technician for immediate hire. Founded in 1934, Valley is an all service graphic, print, and pre-press shop. Proudly AS9100 certified, Valley is also a tier 1 producer of vinyl, magnesium, steel, and anodized aluminum parts for the aerospace and defense industries.
As a CNC Production Technician, your day to day will consist of the following:
- Manufacturing of costumer parts using a variety of methods - from CNC machining, to large format printing and plotting, to hand machining and chemically finishing complex metal components
- Reading customer drawings and drafting them in AutoCAD/FeatureCam/Fusion 360
- Inspecting products and documenting their traceability
- Performing safety inspections and regular maintenance of manufacturing equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Competencies:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D./HiSET
- 2 years' experience as a CNC Machinist
- 1-2 years' experience working in CNC drafting software (FeatureCam preferred)
- 2 years' experience reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Ability to work on your feet for up-to 2 hours at a time
- Ability to lift 40lbs unassisted, and working knowledge of team lift

Nice-to-haves:
- A.S. in an engineering or trade profession
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001
- Previous experience working at an aerospace/defense contractor
