Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Caregiver to join our home health team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to clients in the comfort of their own homes, focusing on personal care, safety, and enhancing their quality of life. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, monitoring their well-being, and providing companionship in a respectful and dignified manner.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting mental and social well-being.
- Monitor and document changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition and report concerns to the supervising nurse or manager.
- Assist clients with mobility, including safe transfers, positioning, and use of mobility aids.
- Ensure the client’s safety by adhering to infection control practices and following care plans.
- Accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
- Provide medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent caregiver training preferred.
- Prior experience in home care or outpatient settings is a plus. However, willing to train right candidate. New grads welcomed to apply!
- Ability to assist with grooming, hygiene, and other personal care tasks with professionalism and respect.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and the care team.
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting, transferring, and mobility support.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license may be required. Auto insurance must be up to date.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
