Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- One (1) year experience in customer service.
- Operates telecommunication equipment to provide communication service to hospital departments, patient care areas, and physicians.
- Receives incoming calls and connects them as requested.
- Monitors alarms such as fire, emergency, security, and telecommunications equipment.
- Announces emergency codes and activates pagers and other communication devices.
- Relays and route written and verbal messages.
- Identifies problems with communication devices and takes appropriate action.
- Documents required information in appropriate logs
- Utilizes crisis intervention skills when dealing with callers/emergency situations.
- Able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Able to read and write legibly.
- Standard office environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment such as phones, computers, copier, fax machine, etc.
- Ability to multi-task and handle multi-line phone system.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm, professional manner.
