Position Summary:
United Hebrew of New Rochelle is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support our dynamic HR team across our senior living communities, including Willow Gardens Memory Care and Willow Towers Assisted Living. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in HR practices, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for serving older adults in a compassionate and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of new employees.
- Maintain and update employee records in HRIS systems.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and inquiries.
- Coordinate training sessions and compliance tracking.
- Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with employee relations matters and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Prepare reports and metrics for HR leadership.
- Support HR initiatives across Willow Gardens, Willow Towers, and the broader United Hebrew campus.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience required.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of files or office supplies up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for computer and office equipment use.
