Position Overview
Reporting to the Medical Director, Laboratory Medicine & Pathology, and the general direction of the Administrative Director, Laboratory Services, provides leadership and manages the daily activities and staff of the Histology, Pathology, Cytology, and Autopsy Departments. All duties are performed in a timely fashion according to United Health Services Laboratory Department Policies and Procedures, New York State Department of Health regulations, College of American Pathologists Policies and Procedures and CDC Infection Control Policies

Compensation Range:
$44.77 - $67.15 per hour, depending on experience

Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent
- Six (6) years of laboratory experience with a minimum of two (2) years in Anatomic Pathology
- Two (2) years Supervisory experience
Preferred:
- Masters in health care field
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
- ASCP Certification as Pathologists’ Assistant; PA(ASCP)
- New York State license eligible as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
Preferred:
- ASCP Certification as Pathologists' Assistant; PA (ASCP)
