Job Summary
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring suitable facilities are available to store and ship grain safely and efficiently. Supervises the Millwright and Operations Technician staff with the focus of enabling employee growth and abiding by the policies and procedures as established by the corporation. Employees in this position will be required to maintain a positive, forthright attitude that promotes a collaborative, respectful, and diverse corporate culture, and conduct themselves in a professional and favorable manner.

Qualifications:Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support operational activities to ensure efficient use of resources and a safe environment for employees and customers.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (Regional Operations Manager, Elevator Managers, Maintenance, Technicians, Operators, etc.), including assisting with reporting related to inventory, safety, and maintenance programs.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to support efficient and cost-effective receiving and shipping of grain across assigned facilities.
- Monitor grain conditions for potential issues such as insect infestation, heat, or pest activity, and escalate concerns to appropriate teams to ensure compliance and minimize loss.
- Assist with coordination of maintenance and capital projects in partnership with regional and corporate teams to support timely and successful completion.
- Safely perform job tasks in compliance with all safety programs and procedures and take responsibility for safe work behavior.
- Coordinate grain movement activities, including supporting load-out processes and facility clean-up when needed.
- Communicate company policies, plans, and programs to relevant teams and provide updates to management on operational conditions and activities.
- Assist with operational planning and budgeting processes as needed.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education or technical training preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in grain operations, industrial operations, agriculture, or a related field preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
- Basic understanding of safety regulations and practices is required.
- Familiarity with computer programs such as Microsoft Office and agriculture-related software (Agris, One Weigh, Bin Site) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend operational and safety instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within scope of role.
- Effective communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, producers, and merchandising staff.
- Must be able to work extended hours as needed.
Physical Demands and Requirements
- This job can be physically strenuous (demanding) from time to time. You will be expected to work in tight and confined spaces, walk, climb, bend, kneel, lift, grip, grasp, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more.
- This job may require the ability to ride a belt man lift and occasionally work at significant heights, with requisite balance and equilibrium. Ability to frequently ascend/descend ladders and gangways.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment, including hard hats, gloves, safety glasses, safety vests, safety shoes, and respiratory protection and ear protection as appropriate.
- This job requires the ability to read and comprehend written and verbal operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies, and memos, and to communicate clearly with your employees.
- It is important to have vision that permits close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. If you are grading grain, the ability to identify and distinguish colors is also important.
- Ability to detect odors and ability to understand and discern safety warning systems.
- Ability to Express or exchange ideas in English, by the ability to read, write, and comprehend written and oral operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies, and memos, and communicate clearly with your coworkers and supervisors.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment – both in proximity and practice.
- Must be able to make decisions and work independently, and detail oriented.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is regularly required to sit and may need to stand occasionally; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
Work Environment
This is a physical job that includes both indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather and temperature environments. This job may include working at heights and in confined spaces. It may be noisy and dusty at times.

Salary : $85,001 - $127,920
