HazMat Fuel Driver Job Description
We're looking for a responsible, dependable Class A CDL driver to join our Company. This is a Class A HazMat position —While fuel hauling experience is preferred, it’s not required—if you’ve got solid trucking experience and a strong work ethic, we’ll train you!
Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting fuel safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all regulations and safety standards. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills!
Responsibilities
- Load, haul, and unload fuel in a safe, efficient, and professional manner
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
- Communicate clearly with dispatchers, customers, and team members about schedules, delays, or issues
- Respond promptly to calls, texts, and dispatch communication
- Accurately maintain logs and delivery records (mileage, fuel usage, etc.)
- Follow proper loading/unloading procedures and hazardous materials protocols
- Represent the company respectfully and professionally
- Follow instructions
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Experience driving tanker trucks or similar vehicles is preferred
- Previous experience as a fuel delivery driver advantageous (but if you have the ability to learn then that goes a long way too)
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to transporting hazardous materials
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement
- Solid experience operating 18-wheelers; tanker/fuel hauling experience is a plus
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Reliable communication—you must be reachable and responsive
- Common sense, good judgment, and attention to detail
- Dependability, punctuality, and professionalism
