United Friends School, a small and spirited Quaker school serving Preschool–Grade 8, is looking for per diem substitute teachers who bring positivity, flexibility, and a genuine love of working with children.

What You’ll Do
- Step into classrooms (Preschool–8th) and keep learning on track using teacher-provided plans
- Bring warmth, calm, and confidence to daily routines
- Support project-based, experiential, and occasionally messy learning
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for every student
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure smooth transitions
- Model kindness, curiosity, and the Quaker values that guide our community
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children (teaching, camp, tutoring, childcare — all welcome!)
- Strong, relationship-centered classroom management
- Flexibility, dependability, and a sense of humor
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
- Interest in progressive, child-centered education
- Familiarity with Quaker values is helpful, but not required
- Current Child Care Clearances are required to work with our students.
