We are seeking a highly driven, "hunter-mindset" Salesperson to expand our market share in the freight brokerage and third-party logistics (3PL) industry. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic consultant, diagnosing supply chain pain points and providing customized transportation solutions (FTL, LTL, Intermodal, etc.) to manufacturing, retail, and distribution companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Actively source and prospect new shipper accounts through targeted cold calls, email outreach, and industry networking.
- Pipeline Management: Cultivate and track a robust sales pipeline, consistently meeting or exceeding monthly and annual revenue quotas.
- Rate Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and service agreements with both prospective clients and carrier partners to maximize profit margins.
- Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for your clients, ensuring high-level service and smooth load execution from pickup to final delivery.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with carrier sales and operations teams to guarantee carrier compliance, resolve transit issues, and retain accounts.
- CRM Tracking: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and opportunities in the company’s CRM system.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2 years of proven B2B sales experience in a freight brokerage, 3PL, or logistics environment preferred but not required. (Note: Candidates with an active, portable book of business are strongly preferred and eligible for premium compensation models).
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the North American freight market, transportation modes, and carrier procurement.
- Sales Prowess: Fearless, persuasive, and resilient when making high-volume outbound sales calls.
- Negotiation & Problem-Solving: Sharp negotiating skills and the ability to find rapid, real-time solutions to unexpected supply chain disruptions.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with modern Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Load Boards, and CRM software.
