A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BROADBAND SERVICE TECHNICIAN

As a Broadband Service Technician, you work directly with our customers in their homes installing fiber fast internet, TV, and phone systems. You will assist our customers with any questions or issues they have with our products or services during the installation process. Because you are knowledgeable about field services and network operations, you are able to troubleshoot effectively and efficiently.

Customer satisfaction is your top priority, so you are proactive about anticipating current and potential needs. You are motivated to develop your own skills, which you achieve by attending regular team meetings and training. You feel great about helping our ISP company provide exceptional customer service for our customers!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BROADBAND SERVICE TECHNICIAN

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0 to 12 months entry-level experience
  • Have common knowledge of consumer computer equipment/router devices, telephone, TV and related home electronics.
  • Working knowledge of hand and power tools a must
  • Thorough knowledge of first-aid and CPR
  • Valid Missouri Class E driver's license
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, or sit for prolonged periods of time as well as the ability to lift and carry over 50 pounds

Trade school training and/or certification and one or more years of experience in customer premise installation of electronic equipment or low voltage wiring are preferred but not required. Proficiency with CAT 5 and COAX wiring is a plus. Can you integrate business and industry knowledge into your job? WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time position works Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is an additional rotating Saturday schedule to be assigned with this position as well. as an "on-call" assignment. Overtime and holiday shifts may be required. This position is required to work outside in inclement weather at any time.
