Overview:

We are seeking a Live- in Personal Care Assistant to join our team. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others through personalized assistance and companionship.  This position requires some dementia care experience. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Provide personalized personal care assistance to individuals, including bathing, grooming, and dressing

- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of each individual - Support individuals with meal preparation, feeding, and adherence to dietary requirements - Aid in medication management by ensuring correct dosage and timely administration

- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment - Engage individuals in meaningful activities and provide companionship

- Monitor and document any changes in the individual's condition or needs, reporting to the appropriate supervisor

-Other Duties as assigned (based on client needs)

Requirements:

-Compassionate and caring nature with a genuine desire to help others

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

- Patience and empathy when assisting individuals with physical or cognitive limitations - Capacity to maintain confidentiality and respect individual privacy

Note: Prior experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
