What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Soccer Coach position at United FC Rush Soccer?
United FC Rush is seeking energetic, reliable, and passionate coaches to join our growing staff for the 2025–2026 season. We have openings across multiple teams and are looking for individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of young players through the game of soccer.
We welcome coaches of all backgrounds—licensed coaches are preferred, but we are more than happy and equipped to mentor and develop new coaches who are excited to grow within the game.
What to Expect:
- U14 and younger teams train from late August through June/July, with 3–5 contacts per week.
- U15 and older teams begin training in December and continue through June/July, also with 3–5 contacts per week.
- All training is held in the St. Michael/Albertville area, including winter sessions at the STMA Dome.
- Coaches typically attend one out-of-town tournament per year.
Coaching Responsibilities:
- Plan and run age-appropriate, engaging training sessions.
- Lead teams during games and communicate effectively with players and families.
- Collaborate with club staff and follow United FC Rush’s development philosophy.
- Foster an environment that emphasizes growth, teamwork, and enjoyment.
Compensation & Opportunities:
- Pay varies based on experience and license level.
- Access to Rush Soccer’s global coaching network and professional development resources.
- Opportunities to attend coaching education clinics and pursue coaching licenses.
- Clear pathway for coaches looking to take on more responsibility within the club.
What We Value:
At United FC Rush, player development comes first, but we also strive for high standards and competitive success. We aim to develop players who are technically sound, tactically intelligent, and ready to compete at their highest level.
We’re looking for coaches who:
- Create a positive, player-centered environment that challenges and inspires.
- Teach the technical and tactical foundations necessary for long-term success.
- Emphasize both individual improvement and team performance.
- Embody values like integrity, accountability, and a growth mindset—on and off the field.
Who This Role Fits:
This role is a great fit for teachers, college students, former players, or professionals looking to stay connected to the game — especially those who can consistently commit to evening and weekend training sessions. While we understand coaches may have other responsibilities, reliability and presence at sessions and games is essential.
