What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Lathe Machinist position at United Engineered Technologies?
CNC Lathe Operator/Programmer needed for a precision machine shop in Traverse City.
Experience with Mazak lathes and Mazatrol controllers required. Experience with Doosan lathes and Fanuc controllers is a plus. Swiss-type lathe experience also a plus. MasterCAM programming experience preferred.
Pay is based on experience and proven skill at $22.00 - $27.00 to start.

First and Second shifts available; typically Mon-Thur., 10-hour shifts, with overtime available on Fridays. Start times are flexible, if needed.
A qualified candidate will be able to machine components for first articles as well as production runs. The programmer/machinists will monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions and troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming control while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes and performing in-process inspections.
Qualifications
- Experience with MasterCAM and AutoDesk Fusion 360 a plus
- Set-up and operate CNC Lathe and/or CNC Mill
- Prefer 2 years experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
